The journey behind FUV
FUV was founded in 2005 and evolved through continuous engagement with construction and the practical needs of buildings in Greece. During a period of economic crisis and limited investment, Theo Tountas chose to invest systematically in expertise, equipment and professional training.
FUV’s development was grounded in applying and testing each new solution in practice. This approach gradually brought together architecture, construction, materials, energy performance, measurement, research and technical training.
Architecture and construction
Architecture forms the foundation of his approach. Design is connected to material selection, construction detailing, on-site execution and the verification of actual building performance.
Developing new applications
Under his leadership, FUV developed expertise and applications in Greece across blown-in insulation, airtightness, mechanical ventilation with heat recovery, natural building and modern timber construction.
Each new field was supported by dedicated equipment, clearly defined application procedures and training for technicians and engineers.
Research and international dialogue
FUV’s research is grounded in field measurements and project data. Participation in international scientific and professional networks connects experience gained in Greece with current technical knowledge and integrates it into FUV’s work.
