FUV takes its name from Vitruvius: Firmitas, Utilitas, Venustas. Strength, usefulness and beauty guide our architecture. We add sustainability as a responsibility that runs through every decision, from the materials we choose to the energy a building needs throughout its life.
OUR JOURNEY
2005—todayOur journey in Greece
Founded in Athens in 2005 by architect Theo Tountas, FUV began with architectural design, construction and renovation. Energy conservation and indoor comfort shaped our work from the outset.
We chose to remain in Greece and continue investing in our work here. Developing local expertise and helping construction teams adopt unfamiliar methods have been essential to that commitment.
INNOVATION
Innovation through practice
We have carried out airtightness tests since 2011. In 2013, we established FUV Products to make selected technologies available to the Greek market, including blown-in insulation and ventilation with heat recovery.
Our own Monoblok Hellas technology addresses window installation. Through Mass Timber Greece, we also promote construction with cross-laminated timber.
INTERNATIONAL EXCHANGE
Sharing experience internationally
Our work in Greece contributes to an ongoing exchange with colleagues abroad. We present research at international conferences and bring practical questions from construction sites into discussions about building performance.
